At Perry Beeches Baptist Church, we are continually reminded of the power of community, compassion, and generosity—and this week has been no exception.

We are delighted to share some uplifting news. Kailali UK, a progressive organisation representing members of the Kerala diaspora across the United Kingdom, has made a significant donation of food to support our foodbank ministry.

This generous contribution was coordinated in liaison with one of our trustees, Tony Dwyer, and will go directly toward helping families and individuals in our community who are facing hardship. Thanks to this support, we are able to continue providing essential food supplies to those who need it most.

A Wider Movement of Kindness

This donation forms part of Kailali UK’s inspiring national initiative, the “United in Kindness” campaign. Through this campaign, their 45 active units across the UK have been working together to promote compassion, unity, and practical support at a time when it is needed more than ever.

Their efforts have included:

  • Donations to food banks across the country
  • Blood donation drives
  • Winter jacket collections for those in need

Collectively, Kailali UK members have contributed several tonnes of food to food banks nationwide—an incredible demonstration of generosity and shared responsibility.

Building Stronger Communities Together

What makes this contribution particularly meaningful is not just the scale of the donation, but the spirit behind it. The “United in Kindness” campaign is rooted in a simple yet powerful message: that people from all backgrounds can come together to support one another and build stronger, more compassionate communities.

At Perry Beeches Baptist Church, we are deeply grateful for this partnership and the kindness shown to those we serve each week.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved at Kailali UK for their generosity and for standing with us in supporting vulnerable members of our community.

Together, we are making a difference one act of kindness at a time.
