The Next Generation of Spiritual Fruit
A Special Family Service Led by Our Sunday Youth Ministry

There was something beautifully fitting about our Family Service on Sunday 12th July 2026. As Perry Beeches Baptist Church continues celebrating 80 years of God’s faithfulness, we handed the service over to those who represent the future of our church our children, young people and Sunday School.
And they didn’t disappoint.
From the welcome to the prayers, Bible readings, worship, creative presentations, poems and reflections, our young people led almost every part of the morning service. It wasn’t simply a children’s service; it was a powerful reminder that God is already at work in the next generation.
A Church Growing Together
One of the greatest joys of the morning was watching every generation worship together.
Parents smiled with pride. Grandparents watched with joy. Church family members encouraged and applauded each contribution. The service reflected exactly what Perry Beeches Baptist Church has stood for over the past eight decades a church where faith is passed from one generation to the next.
As we celebrate 80 years of serving our community, this service reminded us that our story isn’t only about our history. It’s about our future.
The Fruit of the Spirit: More Than Words
The theme for the service came from Galatians 5:22–23, where Paul describes the Fruit of the Spirit:
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Rather than simply reading the passage, the children helped us understand what each fruit looks like in everyday life.
Through poems, short talks, scripture readings and creative explanations, they showed that these aren’t just words to memorise they’re qualities that God grows in us as we follow Jesus.
Each presentation offered a simple but powerful lesson:
- Love means putting others before ourselves.
- Joy is found in Christ, even when life isn’t easy.
- Peace comes from trusting God.
- Patience teaches us to wait well.
- Kindness is shown through everyday actions.
- Goodness reflects God’s character.
- Faithfulness means remaining committed to God.
- Gentleness shows strength with compassion.
- Self-control helps us choose God’s way over our own.
Sometimes the deepest truths are communicated through the simplest voices.
Celebrating 80 Years by Investing in the Future
The service wasn’t about perfection; it was about participation.
Young people confidently led prayers, read scripture and worshipped before the congregation. Every contribution mattered. Every voice reminded us that God calls people of every age into His service.
It also reflected the investment made week after week by our Sunday School leaders, youth leaders, parents and volunteers who faithfully disciple our children behind the scenes.
This service was the fruit of that faithfulness.
As part of our 80th Anniversary celebrations, this Family Service captured the heart of Perry Beeches Baptist Church.
For 80 years, God has sustained this church through generations of faithful believers. Now we celebrate not only where God has brought us from, but where He is leading us next.
The children who stood on stage today are tomorrow’s worship leaders, prayer warriors, teachers, pastors, missionaries and community leaders.
What a privilege it is to encourage them now.
A Thank You to Everyone Involved
A heartfelt thank you to every child, young person, Sunday School leader, youth leader, musician, parent and volunteer who helped make this Family Service so special.
Your preparation, courage and enthusiasm blessed the entire church family.
As we continue celebrating 80 years of Perry Beeches Baptist Church, may we all pray that the Fruit of the Spirit continues to grow in each of us young and old alike as we seek to love God, love one another, and serve our community together.
“Let us keep in step with the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:25
